"Iason" Who?

As you might have noticed (but probably didn't), I'm in the process of purging my RL name from the blog. I feel like I'm selling out by doing so, because I think it's chicken-shit to not back up what you say by at least revealing your identity. Bloggers should be willing to take accountability for all of their statements. But it's just not worth risking any future employment on principle. I do make some pretty inflammatory statements towards past employers. So, if you don't know, and would like to, just drop me an e-mail (checked bicentennially), and I'll reveal all my secrets. It's not exciting. I promise. I am almost certainly not Ben Affleck.

However, It still wouldn't be hard for a clever person, searching for "Iason's Secret Identity" (or somesuch), to find me out. For that reason, I post the following disclaimer:

Notice to Prospective Employers:
In spite of the strong compulsion you may feel to rely on this blog to determine what kind of employee Iason will be, I strongly encourage you not to. I understand that "Image Control" is a hot topic in our field right now, but I implore you to think twice about what kind of image Image Control projects. The public is deluged with slick, pre-prepared images. Isn't a little roughness around the edges, some passion, some humanity something we all thirst for? Understand that if I come to work for you, I will think critically about the methods and modes of operation at your place of business, and if I find things that seem inefficient, or imperfect, or downright stupid, I'll tell you. Some of my statements against a particularly horrible prior employer may seem harsh, but these were not complaints I harbored quietly, while posting defamatory statements on the internet. If you have a problem with inquisitive, thoughtful, outspoken employees, please do not hire me. If you're looking for someone who craves to work as a member of a team, not just a cog in a machine, to put out the best possible "product," then by all means, sign me up.
See also my previous disclaimer. (And my sidebar disclaimer.)

Hmm. I may just make this my cover letter. Any takers?
